Robert C. Carpenter, a native of Sylva, NC, received his law degree from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 2007 and completed his undergraduate education at Wake Forest University in 2001. At law school, he studied environmental and employment law and successfully completed Campbell’s acclaimed trial advocacy program. During law school, he gained invaluable practical experience interning for the Wake County District Attorney’s office, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the Labor Division of the North Carolina Attorney General’s office.
Before attending law school, Mr. Carpenter worked in the litigation section of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, & Feld in Washington, D.C. and committed himself to a year of community service by joining AmericCorps, the national service organization devoted to serving the country’s disadvantaged. His time at Wake Forest was highlighted by regular appearances on the Dean’s List and a semester studying Eastern culture and language near Tokyo, Japan. |
